43rd Aryabhatta Inter-School Competition 2026

K.R. Mangalam World School-GK1, Greater Kailash, New Delhi, organised the 43rd Aryabhatta Inter-School Competition on Tuesday, 3rd February 2026, in an atmosphere imbued with academic fervour, cultural elegance, and institutional pride. The event stood as a celebration of scholastic brilliance and intellectual pursuit, bringing together 100 schools, with more than 3000 students from Classes V, VIII and XI engaging in an exacting encounter with logic, abstraction and mathematical reasoning.

The gathering was marked by dignity and intellectual reverence. The ceremonial invocation, accompanied by the lighting of the lamp and the measured cadence of the sacred shloka, served as a symbolic affirmation of knowledge as illumination. The presence of the Chief Guest Mr Lakshay Singhal, IAS, District Magistrate, South Delhi lent quiet distinction to the occasion, underscoring the shared commitment to the ideals of education and disciplined inquiry.

Interwoven with academic purpose, the proceedings were enriched by cultural expressions that mirrored the ethos of balance and harmony inherent in mathematical thought. A restrained musical symphony created an ambience of contemplative poise, while an eloquent dance presentation articulated precision through movement. The rhythmic yoga performance that followed stood as a visual metaphor for alignment, focus and inner order — values central to both scholarship and life.

Addressing the gathering, the Principal, Ms. Shalini Agarwal, acknowledged and congratulated the winners from various schools including Modern Delhi International School, DPS Faridabad, Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Modern Vidya Niketan Aravali Hills, Sri Venkateshwar International School and SND Public School Palwal. She expressed deep appreciation to the Chairman, Mr. Inder Dev Gupta, for his enduring vision and guidance, which continue to foster a culture of intellectual excellence and aspiration.

It was a moment of immense pride for the institution as Prakhar Agarwal of Class VIII secured the first position and Abhinav Jha of Class XI received the consolation prize, both bringing great honour to the school through their outstanding and commendable achievements.

The assembly was subsequently addressed by the Chief Guest, whose erudite and inspiring words commended the participants and the winners for their diligence and perseverance. The ceremony drew to a graceful conclusion with a Vote of Thanks proposed by the Deputy Head Boy and Head Girl, expressing sincere gratitude to the Chief Guest, dignitaries, participants, teachers, and all contributors who ensured the seamless execution of the programme, making it a grand success.
